About this trick
This was originally the first tutorial I ever made for the website, and I chose to do it first simply because it's one of my favorites to do.  Just a really fun and pretty smooth trick.  Since then, though, the tutorial has been remade in higher quality.

As you can probably imagine, this trick was based off of Skin the Gerbil.  It has several more moves than Gerbil, but most of them are such that they're not that hard to remember, especially once you develop the muscle memory.  In the beginning, though, you may find it challenging to make it the whole way through the trick.  Just stick with it, though; it is a very worthwhile trick to learn.

Man, that dropping of the extra loop from the freehand index finger is killing me. That move is so unnatural.

Hi Kyle,

thanks for this remake, Skin the Gerbil is one of my favourite tricks and I'm finally having fun trying to learn this.

I think one thing that would really help in long tricks like this one is a slow motion version of the full trick. It'd help better understanding how all the single movements detailed in the tutorial fit together into a single flow.

To help deal with the first part go and learn Grapes. When you have mastered Grapes, not that I have,getting, I am getting it down, with a foundation of knowing grapes, the first part doesn't seem so foreign.
I do wonder about that first 'Grapes' bit, only because it seems to be a case of 'difficult for the sake of difficult'!
Where one can do it simple style, pinwheel inside, then land on string and Lindy loop, reverse moves to end in a trap, then continue on with the rest... the simpler looks very similar, I doubt most could tell the difference ?
I was just messing around a bit and this occurred to me, am I on the total wrong track here ?
As always thanks for the tutorials Kyle, I also enjoyed the performance video you posted, great hat bud, and an even better throw show.

Hey Kyle, just wanted to support this thought from Nick70, I would love a slow mo version of the full trick as well! Then we can see what you do in real time..just slowly. For tricks like STH, it'd be a great addition.

Anyone else notice that the clockwise and anticlockwise seem to be reversed on these tuts ?
Take this one, the second/third instruction after Oliver twist is to swing the yoyo clockwise, but an Oliver twist is an anti clockwise motion, and the yoyo is still traveling anti clockwise ? this is not the only tut Ive noticed it on, it the same on a lot of them, the directions you give for rotation are usually reversed ?
The first moves on STH are anti clockwise rotations, no ?
Dont take this wrong Kyle, your tuts are the best still, I just found it strange, and wondered if anyone else noticed ?

Hi Mike, I think (think, not know) that all of Kyle's instructions are from the player's point of view, not the spectators. Therefore, the oliver twist goes clockwise, not counter-clockwise.

Hey Thanks TP, I actually had a lil epiphany shortly after posting the above, isnt that always the case, soon as you ask for help you figure it out.
I just ignorantly assumed that he was messing up, but it was I....lol.
Oooooo to be perfect, perhaps one day...on the other hand, I kinda like making mistakes, sometimes the best insights come from making mistake.

I'm stuck on the part after you curl your finger after the unroll of the linsey loop. Can anyone help?

I keep getting it twisted when he does the unroll from the formation after the until of the Linsey loop
