About this trick
Ninja Vanish is pretty cool.  When you get it down, there are so many variations!  Depending on where you land the yoyo in the loop created, you can make small Green Triangles (GT's), large GT's, tall GT's, or long GT's.  You can do slow, smooth, and flowing Ninja Vanishes, or you can do quick and slick Ninja Vanishes.  And, when you get really comfortable with Ninja Vanish, you can experiment with landing the yoyo on different strings, not only the loop you swing around.  This way, you can land reverse GT's and who knows what else.  Go for it.

Hey Kyle, hope all is well in your neck of the woods.
Freaking Ninja Vanish......arrrggghhhh.
It looks so simple but I keep landing in a trap ?
Any hints, clues, tips etc....
I have real trouble getting good loops when I whip, any advice there, I know tension, tension, tension, but seems there is more to it.

Hey Mike! Everything's going great over here, hope you're doing fine as well.

I'm not sure what you mean by "landing in a trap." If you're just having trouble forming the Green Triangle, I would recommend having a strong grasp of what's going on in the trick. Perhaps try watching this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lx5ozGDX6k

Getting good loops for Ninja Vanish is a little difficult. It's partially technique and partially string tension (like you said). Make sure the circular motion you're making with your freehand is controlled, large, and flowing. Also make sure that your string is fairly new. Old strings, though they may have good tension, sometimes can't hold loops very well.

Landing in a trapeze is what I meant, and sorry about that.
I can do a few simple green triangles, but I am having trouble with the 'vanish', particularly it seems to me, with the loop intersecting the string.
I think a large part is probably experience as well, just need more practice, Ill nail it eventually.

Got it.
Takes a while to really learn how to flick the loop is all. For the first week or so of trying I couldn't hardly even get a loop, then the loop started to appear, and slowly got better, and just landed 3 in a row. I practiced about 15-20 minutes a day, just flicking the loop, so if at first you don't succeed, don't let that discourage you.

CONGRATS MIKE! More power to ya. Yes, I agree that the flicking part is very challenging at first. Took me forever to learn this trick as well, but isn't it fun once you have it?

btw... for some inspiration, check out John Chow's video on YouTube called "Bezerkley" at about 3:10. He does like an Eli Hop Ninja Vanish combo... sick. haha
