The first time in the trick that you bring a triangle around the yoyo really is much easier done in one fluid motion. Breaking it up into two steps, however, was the only way I could successfully explain it. So, after you have a good understanding of how what goes where in those two steps, I highly recommend just doing it in one step.
Near the end when you bring a triangle around the yoyo twice ---from one side and then from the other side--- the second time has a high snag potential. Try to be very smooth with the string there.
