About this trick
This trick's difficulty is highly overrated.  It's a very simple trick as long as you know what to do and when to do it.  The part of trick where you swing the slack is similar to Hidemasa Hook, but make sure you only let the side of the slack closest to you swing around your freehand index finger; not both sides, as in Hidemasa Hook.

Practice.  I'm sure you'll get it.

I finally made it! :)

My mistake all the time was having the yoyo quite close to the freehand hand, when bouncing it up just like when doing a Hidemasa Hook. Brent Stole is much easier when the yoyo has about 20cm distance to the freehand index finger.

I think people too often equate this trick with Hidemasa Hook. There are really major differences between the two tricks. I think Brent Stole is easier to learn if you set aside what you know about Hidemasa and just focus on Brent as a new trick. So glad to hear you got it man! It's one of those tricks that just seems like you'll never learn it, right? haha Congrats!

Just slow down and try to understand what's really going on with the string as you whip it around. If you understand what's going on, you can more easily control which one you'll land into as you're playing. Good luck man!
