xTempest, it's sort of the sidestyle version equivalent of the position where you could do Mach 5. Doing Mach 5 in this position though is slightly awkward though. lol

Dirtybanana, the outside part of the loop should hook into the gap. (The part farthest from you, in other words)

Gavin, the only thing I can think to tell you is to perhaps learn Slack Trapeze before learning this. It helps you understand what's going on and it's also a little less tight of a move.

McTrevor, I actually find it easier the closer the yoyo is to your freehand. That gives you more room to create a slack loop with your throwhand.

The reason it's called Mach Whip... well, it's nearly exactly the same string configuration as a Mach 5 position, except that your throwhand index finger would be pointing toward you and the loop on that same finger would be hooked onto the opposite side of the yoyo. Very minor differences, though. The name really isn't concrete though, if you said Gyroscopic Whip, people might still know what you mean (or they could think of the frontstyle Whip that Andre does).
